Refers to: 1. the history of racist pseudoscience and the subsequent inhumanities inflicted on “lesser” bodies as justified by such ideologies, 2. the inclination towards categorization and the defining of boundaries by humans, especially in this case by “scientifically-minded” whites when confronting non-white bodies throughout the past 600 years of human history, 3. the psychic degradation and dissociation visited, to different degrees, upon all bodies when conceived of through this lens of classification, and 4. the way in which language so similar in appearance and form (“bound” and “bounded”) can embody concepts so tragically at odds with one-another.
